Film Screenings at the Bay Model

Life on the Water is an important body of work in progress lead by our friend and neighbor, Oleg Harencar. Getting sailors to talk seems to be Oleg's specialty and these short films capture the passion, struggle, charm and character of each subject. Sunday Morning Wildlife Sailing!

Set sail aboard FREDA B under the Golden Gate Bridge and along the Marin Headlands National Park in the company of the amazing local marine wildlife.

Spend your Sunday morning with our local naturalist guide and learn more about the animals and plants that call the Bay home.

Late summer and fall is an important migratory time on the West Coast. Hundreds of thousands of birds and whales pass through on migratory routes, plus resident porpoises and seals add to the special scene.

May Full 'Flower' Moon Sail

This distinctive monthly sail in honor of the full moon aboard the FREDA B is one of our favorites! Underway for a 2.5 hour leisurely sail, take in the views of the San Francisco skyline, Golden Gate Bridge, Bay Lights on the western span of the Bay Bridge, Alcatraz and Angel Islands. Experience the magic of the sunset and the moonrise.

In most areas, flowers are abundant everywhere during this time. Thus, the name of this Moon. Other names include the Full Corn Planting Moon, or the Milk Moon. Get your tickets HERE.

Mother's Day Adventure to the Gulf of the Farallones

Spend a day at sea in honor of motherhood in all its many forms!

Take a one day journey around the Farallon Islands aboard the coastal schooner FREDA B. We will sail out the Golden Gate and travel 27 miles each way on our trip to the wildlife rich Gulf of the Farallones National Marine Sanctuary. Some possible sightings include whales, sharks, sea lions, seals, and sea birds. Make this Mother's Day a memorable one with this exciting adventure!
