Sausalito's 24th Annual Lighted Boat Parade will be Saturday December 10, 2011.

Hosted by the Sausalito Yacht Club and the Sausalito on the Waterfront Foundation. Parade should run 5-8pm with fireworks at the end.

Viewing is free from the Sausalito Waterfront. Fireworks over the Ferry terminal.

Fourth of July Fireworks on the San Francisco Bay

We will be out for the fireworks on the 4th. Where will you be?

Opening Day on the San Francisco Bay May 2011

Mia Bernt of the PICYA, Pacific Inter-Club Yacht Association, invited me to opening day of the San Francisco Bay. About 100 boats showed up for the parade, many of them decorated to the "Giants" theme. I have put together a video of the day and posted it on youtube. PICYA has announced the winners of the decorated boats on their website. http://www.picya.org/

It was an incredible weather for opening day on the bay. If it's an indication of what summer will be like we are going to have a great season.

This is hand-held marine footage, while I am pretty stable it's got a little rock and roll. For anyone interested, transcoding footage down for the internet emphasizes the "nautical effect". This was a calm day. I recommend stabilizing gear for most marine filming and would be happy to talk about it for your project. I have current state of the art gear to work.

Freda B welcomes the LGBT community on board

Last night the schooner Freda B celebrated Betty Sullivan's birthday with a wonderful group of her loyal followers on board.
Betty's list is the it site for LGBT events and connections. Thank you Betty for spending your special day with us. We loved watching the sunset and our beautiful city wake up before our very eyes. We are looking forward to sailing with you again on June 4th!
